Our Wedding

Our Story

Our story began three years earlier while we were both serving overseas. In 2023, we attended the same conference and first noticed each other there. Patrick thought Grace was beautiful, while Grace noticed Patrick as well. A few days later, they ended up talking over dinner with a group of friends and enjoyed getting to know each other.	Over the next several months, they crossed paths again at another conference and were encouraged by each other’s faith, character, and commitment to serving the Lord. Later that year, we both moved to Wake Forest for graduate school and occasionally saw each other around town. It wasn’t until the summer of 2025, after Grace invited Patrick to go rock climbing with some friends, that we began spending more intentional time together. Through many conversations, they discovered a shared love for the nations, discipleship, and serving Christ.	In October, Patrick asked Grace out during the intermission of a concert. Their first date was on Halloween, where they danced to “Thriller.” A few weeks later, they made their relationship official and quickly grew closer as they spent time with one another’s families. During the following months, they spent much time praying and seeking the Lord’s guidance for their future together.	On February 4, 2026, Patrick proposed to Grace during a snowy afternoon walk. Grace was completely surprised and joyfully said yes. That evening, family and friends gathered to celebrate their engagement and encourage them as they prepared for marriage.	Their wedding in Georgia was a wonderful God glorifying day as they celebrated the covenant of marriage. The Oregon Walsh family embraced the Georgia Southern culture and Grace’s parents were very welcoming. Both families were grateful for the opportunity to get to know one another and celebrate Patrick and Grace's marriage. On the day of the wedding, several people referred to Grace as “the most chill bride” they had ever met. Before the ceremony, Patrick was grateful for the opportunity to spend time praying with his best man, Nate. As Grace walked down the aisle, she was thrilled to see Patrick waiting for her. Patrick, in awe of Grace’s beauty, could hardly believe that she was walking toward him. Surrounded by family and friends, they exchanged vows and began their marriage with great joy and gratitude to God for His faithfulness.We wanted to share that, as we begin this new chapter together, our hope remains simple: to honor the Lord in our marriage, love Him wholeheartedly, and make His name known among the nations.Thank you for supporting us and our marriage as we seek to do this to together!
